Our next meeting is tomorrow (Thursday) at 1 pm eastern with the following dial-in bridge: Conference Dial-in number: 616-597-8000 Participant Access Code: 817841# 11/5/09 - OSfA Healthcare Working Group meeting notes Attendees: Alex Vernet (Orbeon) Ben Mehling (Medsphere) Anthony Gold (Healthy Humans) With such a small group, focus was on brainstorming ideas related to the charter and potential "activities" of our working group. Idea threads noted below: * Present open source products in more conducive way for government consumption * Directory of OSS healthcare software with case studies for government folks looking for solutions o Probably exists, but not in a format that is easily consumable * Apps.gov - allow government agencies to find software - mostly services-based software - can we tie into that? * Group to promote OSS w/in government agencies - getting people involved with projects: participation, specs, community development, etc. * Operationalizing above: risk management, procurement, evaluation, contribution, etc. Question raised as to whether we have a wiki for group coordination and participation. Anthony took action to investigate. Next meeting: continue fleshing out potential activities and charter for this working group. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
